ACTION ALERT !
280-foot Cell Tower would impact Shawangunk Ridge
A cell phone tower 280 feet high topped with a blinking light is proposed for Spring Glen in the Town of Wawarsing in Ulster County. The tower will be clearly visible from the Shawangunk Ridge and many other locales day and night. The site is the top of Tice Road, near Old and New Routes 209 on the border of Ulster and Sullivan Counties.
The FAA requires a blinking light on towers taller than 199 feet.
The Wawarsing Planning Board Public Hearing for the project is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25th at 7 pm, so we have little time to protest.
Please write a letter immediately, requesting that the height of the tower be capped at 199 feet and that the public meeting be held open to allow time for adequate review. Send letters to:
Town of Wawarsing
Planning Board Chairman

And please plan to attend the meeting on Tuesday, March 25 at the Town Hall, 108 Canal Street, Ellenville at 7 PM.
