Urge Senator Bonacic to Protect the Magnificent Shawangunk Ridge!

New York State Senator John J. Bonacic has presented us with a great opportunity to push for state funding to protect the Shawangunks. Senator Bonacic serves on the Senate Budget Sub-Committee overseeing state environmental conservation, a committee that recommends whether or not to finance key environmental initiatives.

In a recent mailing to his constituents Bonacic states that the purchase of critical open space has been one of his top priorities. In particular, he has “successfully fought to preserve parts of the Shawangunk Ridge, and is working to support State funding to purchase more of the ridge.”
